Let 2Italia introduce you to the delicious traditional food of Lucca by taking you through narrow alleyways to hidden treasures, off the beaten tourist track, to taste the food the Lucchesi themselves eat. Your Italian guide will introduce you to locals whose families have been preparing the foods you will sample for generations. There will be 8-10 stops along the way to taste authentic Lucchese specialties. Tour highlights include typical handmade fresh pasta from Lucca, wonderful hams and salami, rich tiramisu, delicious ice cream, sheep’s milk cheese from the hills surrounding Lucca, exquisite olive oil tasting and, of course, a selection of local wines. In addition, Paola, a born and bred Lucchese, will enthrall you with stories of food, family feuds, local intrigue and ghosts.

Excellent guide who was so knowledgeable and friendly. All the tastings were delicious and all round a thoroughly excellent way to spend the time and get to know Lucca. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent overview of food in Lucca. In addition to learning about the food from Lucca, we had an excellent lunch. However, the highlight of the visit was the visit to an incredible wine cellar.
