A fantastic way to explore the oldest city in England and discover the delightful independent cafes and restaurants and their tasty fare.You will get to gaze upon the magnificent historical buildings and learn about its thriving market and history through the ages. This little gem also has a great community of independent bars and restaurants who serve a selection of delicious dishes to delight your tastebuds. With a knowledgeable local guide and the company of other foodies, you will not only be enjoying lunch at five places rather than just one but you will also be supporting our local independents.

We will be tasting food in five different venues. It will be the equivalent of a good lunch.

Legal drinking age is 18+

The price is £75 per person based on a minimum of 4 participants. If fewer than 4 people are booked when you reserve, a small group supplement of £30 pp may apply. However, this supplement will be fully refunded if the final group size reaches 4 or more. You will discover the essence of this ancient town and one of the smallest cities in England. You will get to gaze upon the magnificent historical buildings and learn about its thriving market and history through the ages. Great way to spend a few hours!

Had a really enjoyable 3 hours on the Ripon food tour today. Food was great, venues very welcoming, and party size just right at 8 people. Our host (Kay) did a great job, and told us lots of historical facts about the city that we didn’t know. We will definitely book a further tour in one of the other cities!

Excellent every time

Excellent choice of places to eat, good history knowledge. This is the third tour we have done with this company (two with Kay!) and all have been brilliant. Would recommend as a gift or fun thing to do.

Linda was amazing- great and delicious tour!

Ripon is such a gem in Yorkshire that many people might overlook but by far was one my favorite visits. The local food was amazing and Linda was an absolute pro in making sure I learned a lot of the area and got to meet the owners are each restaurant. What an amazing experience!

A wonderful way to spend a Wednesday

I had the best time on the Ripon Food tour with our guide Linda. It was really interesting, Linda knows a lot of stuff! The food was amazing - particularly the Indian brunch which was so tasty. You get a lot of food for your money and Ripon is such a lovely place to wander around and learn a bit about. I will definitely be back to sample more at all of the eateries we visited.

On the food front this small city packs a big punch.

It was a great introduction to Ripon which I'd never visited before. There was an enjoyable mix of history, traditions and back ground supporting our visit to five different venues showcasing great food. We also got to know some key locations to explore at a later date. Come with an empty stomach the portions are generous too.
