Internationally known, yet few realise that Halloween began here in Ireland. Long before pumpkins, costumes and trick-or-treating, the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain marked the end of the harvest and the beginning of winter—a night when the veil between our world and the spirit world was believed to be at its thinnest. Join us as we uncover the origins of Halloween through Ireland's oldest legends. Hear the tale of Stingy Jack, discover the traditions that inspired a global celebration, and wander through Dublin after dark as centuries of folklore come to life. The evening concludes with a traditional Silent Supper, freshly baked barmbrack, and seasonal treats in one of our favourite independent cafés, offering a truly authentic taste of an Irish Halloween.

Good spooky fun

Such a fun and unique tour experience I’ll never forget. Very cool to learn about local superstitions and the history of halloween from the place it was born. Not only was the tour itself amazing, the Silent Supper at the end was such a good time as well. Really made you feel like a local. Couldn't recommend this tour enough. Will for sure book another tour with Ciaran next time Im in town. So very friendly and knowledgeable about local gems, I imagine all his tours must be just as fantastic. 10...daha fazla oku

This tour was an awesome way to see different sights by walking around the city and ending with the silent supper, all while learning the Irish traditions.

We had a wonderful time...

We had a wonderful time on this tour! It was the perfect blend of spooky stories and fascinating Dublin history. Ciaran was an outstanding guide- knowledgeable, engaging, and full of character. Ending the evening with the ‘silent supper’ created such a warm, family-like atmosphere and felt like a genuine local experience rather than a typical tourist event. We’d highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting!
