Established by the British army, it was created as a hill station to provide a cooler, healthier environment for British soldiers who were suffering from tropical diseases in Kingston’s warmer, more humid climate. Positioned at over 4,000 feet above sea level, the camp offers breathtaking views of Kingston and the surrounding mountains.
