This is a hands-on class, you'll dive right in to baking Moroccan goodies! Kids also really enjoy this class, it's perfect as a mellow afternoon family activity. During the class, you'll also learn a bit about Moroccan culture and about the work we do to empower women through culinary training.

Tea and coffee

Coffee and/or Tea

Choose a few mouth-watering Moroccan delicacies to bake such as ghriba cookies, baghrir pancakes or msemmen fried bread. Your hosts are the expert bakers at the Amal Women's Training Center. Bake with us in a relaxed, low-pressure setting. Our workshop is located within a beautiful garden where we grow fresh mint and herbs for tea. At the end of the two-hour class, you'll sit down to enjoy the delicacies you created along with a pot of Moroccan tea.

A "gazelle horn" shaped cookie filled with almond past, subtly flavored with rose water.

Fluffy pancakes with lots of little "holes" that absorb melted butter and honey perfectly

Great cooking class

I booked the pastry cooking class for my daughter and I and we had a great time cooking together. The chefs were very friendly and took time to explain the steps to us. The cookies were really lovely and yummy. My daughter who is 7 years old also enjoyed the class.

We joined a cooking class at Amal during our trip to Morocco. There are many options online, with all kinds of prices and styles, but we were looking for something authentic and off the beaten path… and we couldn’t have made a better choice! Excellent! Highly recommended. We did the baking course and it was a wonderful way to spend the morning. Rita is an amazing coordinator and she explained the rituals, traditions as well as the amazing work the Amal center is doing for the community. The professional chefs explained all the steps and the food was wonderful.
