Dive into the world of apiculture at Alaverdi Honey Farm & Meadery, where you’ll get an introduction to beekeeping with a tour of our farm, as well as a look at our mead, or honey wine making process. After putting on the necessary protective gear, you’ll watch our bees at work and get to know local beekeeping practices. Then, we’ll tour our honey wine facilities, learning about the fermentation process and seeing how we bottle and label our wines. Finally, our tour will end with a delicious sampling of honey-based dishes like local Armenian style baklava (pronounced pakhlava [pahkh-lah-vah] in Armenian) and of course, our honey wine.
