This immersive experience combines a visit to the charming medieval town of Castelmola with a tour of a local winery situated on the northern slopes of Europe’s highest active volcano. Your journey begins in Castelmola, renowned for its beauty and its recognition as one of Italy’s Most Beautiful Villages. In Castelmola, you’ll have the chance to sample the town’s signature almond wine and wander through the picturesque streets, enjoy breathtaking views, and visit artisan ceramic shops that showcase the town’s traditional crafts. Next, your tour will take you to the northern slopes of Mount Etna, where you’ll drive through the vineyards that thrive in the unique volcanic soil. During your visit to a local winery, you’ll learn about the process of growing vines on an active volcano. The highlight of the tour is a tasting of four exceptional Etna wines, each paired with a selection of the finest Sicilian products.

Lovely day

The tour was very professionally managed. The van was very well air conditioned and comfortable. Our guides were very knowledgeable and fun. Castlemola was beautiful and just the right size. On a hot day it has shaded streets that make it comfortable. The winery was like a Napa style winery and right beneath Mt Etna. It was a super day!

Most amazing day!

Guilia and Claudia were beyond amazing! We were picked up even before our time and immediately got on the road to Castelmola, which may be the prettiest town we have visited in Italy. They even showed us the best bar on our whole trip!!! Then it was a private tour and lunch by the owner of Patria vineyards, which had the most amazing wine we have had on the trip. We even had karaoke on the way back to port. Wholeheartedly the best day of our trip!!!!
