A minimum of 8 participants is required for the class to run. I also offer: "Premium Hungarian Cooking Class with Chef Marti" (4 hours) – full 3-course menu + Hungarian Bites. "Hungarian Cooking Class with Chef Marti" (2.5 hours) – iconic Hungarian dish + Hungarian Bites + local food culture. "Hungarian Strudel Making Class" (2.5 hours) – traditional stretched Strudel from scratch. "Hungarian Langos Making Class: The No. 1 Street Food in Hungary" (2.5 hours). - 2 types of Lángos.

This is a real hands-on workshop, not a quick demo. Learn how to make traditional Hungarian chimney cake (kürtőskalács) from scratch in a beautiful, professional cooking studio in central Budapest. During the workshop, you’ll also hear the story of chimney cake — where it comes from, how it evolved over time — and learn practical techniques you can actually use at home, even if you don’t have professional equipment. Tasty Team-Workshop

The course location was easy to find, and we were even sent a photo of the venue in advance. All communication beforehand was pleasant and professional. The course itself was informative and enjoyed by all our colleagues. The lady who led the cooking class was very friendly and made a great effort. We were all able to make 2-3 Baumkuchen and take them home with us. Some background music might have been nice to make the atmosphere more relaxed.

Fantastic Culinary Experience

Amazing experience! We had high expectations for our baking/pastry class since my husband is from Hungarian heritage and we wanted to learn how to make some family favorites (Dobos torte, Langos & apple strudel). It was the highlight of our trip! Marti was such fun and a great teacher!

Fabulous Experience!

The entire experience was a highlight of our trip. Marti was so organized and hospitable we loved our time with her learning about Hungary and experiencing foods and making some delicious desserts too! We’ve made the recipes at home and they work wonderfully.

Hungarian Baking with Chef Marti

Chef Marti is an inspiring chef and a fantastic teacher. We spent four hours with her making traditional Langos, Strudel and Dobos cake, and we feel we will be able to make these delicious treats at home with her recipes. The atmosphere was really fun and relaxed. Her English was clear and precise. You will have a great experience with her.

Baking with my old mum
