Our Plantation tour gives insight about Coffee cultivation and traces the process of the coffee bean from, plantation to cup. The tour starts with short walk through the plantation. Along this trail, visitors learn about the growth of coffee plants, from seedlings in nurseries to the time they are planted and picked in the plantations. The tour ends with visit to the host’s house and learns about various blends and tasting the flavors of Coffee, Coorg has to offer. The tour is conducted by local farmer who has experience in cultivation for more than 20 years.

Coorg known as the “Coffee Cup of India “is one of the largest producers of Coffee in India and known for one of the best mild coffees of the world .Coffee from Coorg is unique because its is shade grown under the native trees of the western Ghats ( A UN Bio diversity Hotspot). Arabica and Robusta are the two varieties of beans grown in Coorg. As history says, Coffee cultivation was first introduced by the British and was later used by local Coorgs as a commercial crop. Coffee now is extensively grown across Coorg. It is now known fact that Coorg Robusta is the best in the world and gets exported all over the world especially Europe

Wonderful experience

The tour was really amazing and Sangeeta, the person who took us to the tour had a very deep understanding and knowledge of the entire process of coffee from the seed to the powder we use in our house.

Exploring Coffee plantations and more

Nestled amidst a serene landscape in Coorg, the organic coffee plantation tour and experience center we had the pleasure of visiting was a delightful immersion into nature's bounties. We were captivated by the lush greenery that surrounded us. Our guide Mr Pratham took us on a beautiful trek and showed us around the coffee plants while providing information about their organic farming methods. Never known coffee better!

I booked the Coffee Plantation Tour and it was really a great experience. It had pick up & drop location from my home stay. The entire tour was handled by Mr. Sudarshan from the Hilldale resorts. He showed the 2 very famous types of coffee plants- Arabica & Robusta. He also explained the stages of coffee making. The tour involved a trek which was also very exciting where you walk across the coffee plantation amidst the beautiful hills. It’s highly recommended during one’s visit to Coorg.
