Authentic Guatemalan Cooking Class & Market Tour Discover Guatemala through its flavors in this hands-on cultural and culinary adventure. We’ll start with a guided visit to Antigua’s vibrant market, exploring colorful stalls, learning about local ingredients, and enjoying a fresh fruit tasting. Then, we’ll head by vehicle or the colorful chicken bus to the welcoming community of San Miguel Escobar. There, a local family will invite you into their home to cook: Pepián – Guatemala’s signature stew. Handmade tortillas and rice as side dishes. Traditional mole – a sweet-and-savory dessert you will prepare yourself. Finally, sit down with your hosts to enjoy the dishes you created, share stories, and take memorable photos. This experience is authentic, interactive, and delicious — the perfect way to connect with Guatemalan culture while learning its traditional cuisine.

Amazing Guatemalan cooking experience

This for me was one the best things to do in Antigua! Axel is great guy and wonderful guide, and Elsa was so welcoming, teaching me how to make pepiyan and then sitting down for a meal together. I learned so much about Guatemalan culture, traditions and beliefs as well the food. 10/10 experience for me.

Really great food and very fun .

This was very interesting. Axel explained everything well and showed us around . Elsa was so sweet welcoming us into her house . They both taught us a lot and I highly recommend this experience.

Wonderful Dinner and Market Tour

I did this tour with my sister and we can't recommend it enough! We had an amazing time walking through the artisans market and central market. Axel showed us around the market and explained Guatemalan market culture. He encouraged us to ask questions and provided thoughtful answers. We then drove about 15 minutes to another town and met Elsa in her home. She was an extremely kind woman and has a beautiful home. A look into Guatemalan food and life

We had an amazing time with Axel and Blanca. They were so sweet and educational. We started at the market and learned about new fruits and vegetables native to Guatemala. We didn’t have time to have lunch in between our walking tour and the cooking class so Axel helped us find a local vendor in the market that had delicious Chile Relleno. Amazing Tour & Cultural Experience
