Private Port Wine Tasting at a Family Estate | Pinhão Pickup

Reaching a real Douro wine estate without a car is harder than it looks. The quintas sit across steep terraces several kilometres from Pinhão, on roads with no buses and nowhere to walk. This experience solves that: we collect you at Pinhão station, take you to Quinta da Levandeira do Roncão, and bring you back. The Levandeira is a working family estate in the heart of the Alto Douro — a small property where wine is still made, not a visitor centre. You see the estate and its setting above the valley, then sit down in the tasting room. The tasting is a vertical of three Ports: a White, a 10 Year Old Tawny and a Late Bottled Vintage, served with a board of regional cheese, cured meats and bread from the Douro and Trás-os-Montes. Your host knows the estate and the wines, and there is no script and no queue behind you. One departure a day, at 11am, with a maximum of four guests. A viewpoint stop over the valley on the way back.
