This tour was the highlight of my recent trip to Bali. I’d done this tour before about 5 years ago and decided to go again with a friend. Because I’d been before I did know what to expect but was surprised at how fabulous it was the second time around. I enjoyed it just as much as the first time. Our two guides Zelia and Terese were terrific, friendly and fun to be with. They gave us the history behind the foods, the marketplace and some of the Balinese traditions. A fabulous and relaxed way to see Bali and its nightlife while tasting some of the local delights. Indra and her team were fabulous guides, friendly and very welcoming. This is the second time I took the tour, this time with two family members. It was well worth the return trip.
My food guide Indra picked me up right on time and was totally cool with being on camera for my travel vlog. I highly recommend putting this tour at the beginning of your trip if you are interested in exploring Balinese & Indonesian culture. I hopped on the back of her moped and we were off to eat at 5 locations -- all of which were very local and had almost no foreigners except for myself. We completed the Foodie Tour and the Breakfast Tour. These are such a great experience with guides who are keen to share their food knowledge with you. They are excellent drivers and we felt safe the entire trip. The guides we had were willing to incorporate any places we wanted to try and see. The food experiences were awesome, such variety of foods from all over Indonesia. It was great to be away from the tourist places and eat with local people.
