Franschhoek Wine Tram Experience

The Stellenbosch Wine Route is one of top six tourist destinations in the Western Cape. The Stellenbosch Wine Route is the oldest in South Africa where world-class wines are produced and have contributed to creating an international profile. There are 148 wine farms along the route, many of them historical farms with beautiful Cape Dutch manors houses, historical museums, gardens dominated by oak trees, hotels and fine-dining restaurants. Many of the wine farms host functions, conferences and opulent weddings. South African wineries today produce a cross of Old World and New World wines – over 40 different varieties, such as Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay in whites, and in red Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Merlot, Pinot Noir, and SA’s own delicious Pinotage. Gorgeous mountains surrounded by vineyards offer a magical landscape to behold.
