Welcome to the Peneda-Gerês National Park! Come with us and discover the most important natural park in the country, UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, as well as its rich historical and cultural legacy. This is an All-Inclusive Private Tour, "private" meaning a van and tour-guide exclusively at your service, "all inclusive" meaning that it's conducted in your chosen language and with all the inclusions mentioned, from the moment of pick-up until your return to the hotel at the end of the day. From Campo de Gerês, we start our descent towards the river beaches, but not without stopping at a mandatory visiting site - The Sanctuary of São Bento da Porta Aberta. This sanctuary is the 2nd largest pilgrimage center in Portugal , where pilgrims have flocked since the 17th century. From the Basilica to the crypt, with its beautiful tiles depicting biblical scenes, culminating with its magical landscaped surroundings overlooking the magnificent landscapes of Serra do Gerês, which we can appreciate from the top of the Sanctuary viewpoint.

Culture and fun

Had lots of fun today with the best guide ever, Joana, who took me to the National Park of Gerês, S. Bento da Porta Aberta sanctuary, and an unforgettable chariot ride through the villages. I will always remember the breathtaking view and the things I learned about the North of Portugal. I recommend this tour and I will definitely plan for a second round!
