Tim, aka Mr. Avocado, is a great host and tour guide. We picked this tour because it is different than the normal tour; visiting a working avocado farm to learn about the fruit, trees, growing seasons, markets, and competition was fascinating. We learned so much, tasted so much, and enjoyed it so much!! We got to ride the avocado-picker 20 feet in the air, making for a great photo-op. My husband and I signed up for the avocado tour off of the recommendation of our hotel. We had minimal expectations going in, and Tim completely knocked our socks off. The tour was wildly informative, and Tim graciously answered all of the (many) different questions we had. We learned about avocado growing in general, Tim’s orchard and how it came to be and some New Zealand history as well. Tim let us go up in his picking machine, which was a very cool experience. This avocado farm experience a totally must to do activity when you passing by the world’s avocado capital. The tour was informative and fun, our guide was super nice and expert and the avocado delicasies which we tasted were ubelivable good especially the avocado icecream. I tottaly recommend this for everybody.

We had a great avocado tour at Tim's farm. We got a lot of exciting information about the avocados, but the highlight was of course the gourmet tasting. We couldn't decide what was most delicious because everything tasted great. We can recommend the tour to anyone!
