What makes this experience special is that you don’t just learn about Portuguese food — you actually cook it. In a small group with local Portuguese chefs, you’ll prepare a traditional three-course meal, taste authentic Portuguese products and discover the stories and traditions behind the food. Whenever available, we also use fresh seasonal produce from our family farm in Mafra.

- Tasting of cheeses, chorizo and wines & Cooking class where we will prepare: Starter, Main Course and Dessert.

Gratuities

Discover the authentic flavours of Portugal in a hands-on cooking class with local Portuguese chefs. Begin with a tasting of traditional Portuguese products, including cheeses, chouriço and wine, before heading into the kitchen to prepare a complete Portuguese meal together. You’ll make a starter, main course and dessert while learning traditional techniques and the stories behind the dishes. This is a hands-on experience where everyone takes part in the cooking. Our chefs will guide you step by step, making the class enjoyable whether you are an experienced cook or have never cooked Portuguese food before. We focus on fresh, local and seasonal ingredients, and whenever available, we use produce from our family farm in Mafra. Along the way, you’ll discover more about Portuguese culinary traditions, ingredients and the culture behind the food. At the end of the class, sit down together and enjoy the meal you have prepared in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Come cook, taste and discover the flavours of Portugal with us.

Must do in Lisbon for Foodies

Great evening with friends and a couple of other travelers. Carina & Ana offer an informative, fun, and tasty cooking experience. Everyone gets involved in preparing an authentic farm-to-table meal, and you learn some great tips along the way. Highly recommend it, as it was more fun than another night out at a restaurant.

Be a chef in Lisbon!

What a fun and delicious way to spend an evening! There were 10 people in our class and Ana and Carina led us through preparing a fabulous traditional Portuguese dinner. After a relaxing time of appetizers and wine and meeting your fellow chefs, we were each assigned a task for preparing a dish. If you have any interest at all in cooking, this is a definite experience for your Lisbon stay!
