Discover a different side of Puerto Vallarta with an authentic Mexican cooking experience at Rancho Mi Abuelo, a traditional ranch surrounded by mountains and nature. Your experience begins at our designated meeting point in Puerto Vallarta, where round-trip transportation to the ranch is included. Enjoy the scenic ride away from the busy tourist area and into the peaceful countryside. Once at Rancho Mi Abuelo, cook alongside our local hosts and learn traditional Mexican techniques passed down through generations. Make handmade tortillas, prepare fresh salsa and guacamole in a traditional molcajete, and take part in preparing an authentic chile relleno or Mexican sope. After cooking, sit down and enjoy the meal you helped prepare, followed by a guided tequila tasting where you can discover the flavors and traditions of Mexico’s famous agave spirit. The experience doesn’t end in the kitchen. After your meal, relax and cool off in the ranch’s natural spring pools, surrounded by mountains and tropical nature. More than just a cooking class, this is an opportunity to cook, eat, relax, and experience authentic Mexican ranch life just outside Puerto Vallarta.

Great experience! Would absolutely recommend!

I would definitely recommend this tour. You get a view of the different towns on the way to the mountain. The hospitality at the ranch is amazing!

Mi Abuelo Ranch is great! 5 stars

I would highly recommend spending time at this ranch. Our guide was the owner herself and her husband took us horseback riding. They showed us their beautiful farm where you find fruit trees of all kinds. They'll allowed us to relax in their coal Springs filled with natural water. The tequila tasting was so much fun and the food was tremendous. This is a must on your Puerto Vallarta trip!!

The best beans in the WORLD

A unique and magical experience at Rancho mi Abuelo. Excellent guide, company, place, and above all, the food is delicious and unique. You will find the best beans in the world here. The food is very delicious and homemade, just like when you visited your grandparents as a child. I recommend the tour and the food from this great family team.

Authentic Mexican Cooking Class

Rancho Mi Abuelo was a remarkable mountain retreat just south of Puerto Vallarta. My two friends and I participated in a private Mexican cooking class and it was fabulous. All of the ingredients were fresh and delicious. Our instructor took us through the preparation of pico de gallo, guacamole, roasted veggie salsa and the star of the show, chili rellenos.
