Originally from England, I know the value of beer as a cultural connector. Indeed, beer is more often than not the fuel that drives our desire to learn and experience, especially in a city as layered as Lviv. The Lviv Guided team and I created this very Lvivian pub crawl and we invite you to explore the hidden beer capital of Europe with us! As a Lviv resident, I don't want to see the gentrification that has irrevocably altered so many historic centres in neighbouring countries. Mercifully, much of our historic centre is resistant to such change. Long may it continue. The most rewarding part of this respect for tradition is that our inns and taverns are thriving. Beer in Lviv has a long and colourful history - lavish tales of boundless revelry are still the stuff of legend.
