The Agafay Desert is Marrakech´s hidden surprise, a rocky desert of some 200 kilometres just a short drive from the city. In spring it explodes into life with wildflowers for just a few short weeks after the rains have passed its way. With a backdrop of the majestic High Atlas to the south adding to the vast panoramic vista, especially when it has its winter coat of snow, it is an exceptional landscape worth spending an evening.
