Coca is like a Valencian Pizza, made with a thin and crispy beer pastry. Let me teach you how to make this tasty local delicacy and you can make it again back home to remind you of your trip. It's a naturally vegan recipe. I choose the seasonal vegetables in the local market to make the toppings with. The ingredients for the salad and fruit desert will also be bought at Ruzafa market. In the summer we can make sorbets and fruit salads, in the winter fruit puddings. This experience is a joy to the senses and an insight into the local culture.

No soda/Pop unless specifically asked for

. We'll wash our hands and get our aprons on to start cooking. We’ll prepare a local Vermut aperitivo and try it while making the local dish coca. Coca is a Valencian style ‘pizza’ made with a typical beer dough. The coca is naturally vegan and topped with seasonal vegetables. While the coca is in the oven we’ll prepare a seasonal salad and a simple fresh fruit dessert. We'll all sit down around the table and eat the meal we prepared together with local beer or wine to enjoy the food and each others company in the beautiful unique setting. We can talk about all the gorgeous seasonal produce available in Valencia, the great places to eat and drink here, the history of Valencian cuisine and anything else that takes our interest! Hopefully we can make friends by bonding through cooking together. It is a joy hosting these tasty 0km experiences for your pleasure.

Coca and Seasonal Salad

Valencian style pizza with homemade crispy base and seasonal vegetable toppings. Dressed salad freshly picked from the market with crunchy garnishes.

We will choose the freshest fruit from the market and serve it sumptuously.

Morven's genius

This was definitely a hands-on experience I'd like to have more in the future. The recipes were very fun to cook. Morven always shaped our vision and approach on how to prepare components. Morven inadvertently gave so many practical advises, because she is a great chef. I like that a lot about her. Now I know how to cook a koka!

A fun experience and delicious food!

I enjoyed this class so much and the food was delicious! Morven makes you feel very welcome in her beautiful kitchen and puts you at ease immediately. Morven is a great teacher and her passion for food and knowledge of local dishes and ingredients was fantastic. The class is done in a relaxed way, it’s not rushed and there’s plenty of chat and laughter as you cook. A unique dining experience

Morven's cooking class was a highlight of my trip! Her passion for plant-based cuisine is contagious. I loved learning how to make such delicious pizzas. The class was hands-on, and Morven was patient and encouraging. The atmosphere was so relaxed and fun. I would definitely recommend this class to anyone interested in vegan cooking.

Surprisingly Easy Once You Know How

We had lots of fun, Morven is a great instructor, she makes it all simple. If you like to cook but are worried about it being too complicated to follow or replicate don't worry. You'll be able to replicate the recipe easily. During the class I learned how to make three dishes, each with wow factor but also very easy to make.
