You will be starting your tour at 9:45 am or 3:45 pm (on any day of the week except Sundays) from the Cooking Studio. The address and directions will provided for you to get there. There you will be introduced to your Chef, who will the take you to the Pettah Market. You will be traveling in a tuk tuk or car depending on the weather. The Pettah Market Area has several centuries of history, with disused age-blackened warehouses and smooth-worn cobblestones alleys, as it was . The Market has many different areas according to the object they sell, separated from each other by old abandoned stretches in some places, or swiftly blending into the next area in others. You will be visiting the Fresh Produce stalls, with their colorful rows of fruits and vegetables. Once you get back to the cooking studio, your workshop will begin. There will be an essentially Sri Lankan home-cooked rice and curry meal being taught to you. Your tour and workshop will be complete after enjoying your meal, at approximately 2:00 pm or 8:00 pm depending on whether you have a morning or evening session.
