With the lead of a local host / guide you, will discover the flavor of the most traditional Argentinean infusion. Learn the best tips on how to prepare MATE and how to adapt the preparation to your desired taste. Participate in the ceremonial way to drink it, and the culture and history around this tradition. The round conversation while drinking, will inmerse you into Argentinas & Bariloche relevant hot topics while we enjoy the coastal parl by lake Nahuel Huapi shore.

You will taste MATE, an Argentinean infusion in a special cultural way of drinking it

You will try a typical Argentinean snack to acompany the MATE

The TASTING ceremony & explanation of it, with the elements to go about it

Enjoy a casual MATE tasting ceremony by the lake shore park led by a local expert. Try MATE, learn about this traditional infusion and how to prepare it. In the context of a relaxed conversation and while drinking rounds of MATE, in a true Argentinean way, group chat about Bariloche & Argentina in topics of your interest. Politics, economics, culture, history, controversial topics, art & leisure, tourism tips, etc. All topics and questions are welcomed. We will walk 10 minutes from Centro Civico to find the right spot in the park for the tasting ceremony & sharing. We may change the tasting location depending on weather & festivities in order to have the best possible experience.

Insightful & authentic! 🧉

We can highly recommend this experience! It's not only the best way to learn everything about Mate 🧉 — it's also a wonderful opportunity to sit down with a highly knowledgeable person in Bariloche and talk about anything you're interested in. It felt more like spending an afternoon with a friend than being on a tour. It's truly one of the best ways to get to know the culture and the places you travel to. Do Not Leave Bariloche Without This Experience!!!!!

I cannot recommend this experience enough. Learning about mate and the customs and culture behind it just felt so personal and respectful. We started our day sitting in a beautiful spot, sipping mate and learning about its place in history and everyday life today. Diego was so welcoming and so easy to talk to. He really made this experience absolutely lovely.
