It is believed that curry came to the Caribbean with indentured servants after slavery was abolished. The influence of curry on Caribbean cuisine is huge. Each island has their own special variation of spices that they call "curry". Many debates have been held in kitchens as to which island has the best curry… But all agree that curry and roti is one of those comfort foods that people crave after being off island for a while. Nicole explores all the many faces of curry while she creates a meal that fuses a little of the old styles with newer Western flavors. Visitors will learn about the history of curry, its health value, and short cuts that can be used to create various curry based meals. The goal will be to make it easy for visitors to go home and cook the same menu whenever they wish. Take this class not just to explore new flavours, but to enjoy the experience of cooking with new friends in a West Indian home with great view of the Caribbean Sea!

All recipes depend on the season and availability
Please be aware that we may need to move your booking to another day to meet our 4 person minimum. If your party is less than 4, please book into an exsiting class, or contact us.
We require multiple hand washings and masks to be warn if a guest has flu-like symptoms.

Join Nicole on this hands-on cooking class and explore all the many faces of curry while she creates a meal that fuses a little of the old styles with some newer western flavors. Nicole will teach you how to make curry chicken (and tofu for vegetarians), make the unleavened flatbread known as roti, and all the sides and dessert. Then enjoy a three-course lunch that includes all the recipes for the class. Once lunch is ready, you will enjoy the three-course festival of flavour sitting on a veranda with a beautiful view of the Caribbean Sea. Nicole teaches her classes in a very informal way explaining the history of the food and telling stories about living in the West Indies. It is believed that curry came to the Caribbean with Indian indentured servants after slavery was abolished. The influence of curry on Caribbean cuisine is huge. We are unable to offer transportation to our home, but we do provide customized directions and information for all of our guests. When you arrive at our home, we always meet you and talk with the taxi driver to make sure he or she will pick you up on time when we are finished. We work with cruisers, hotel guests, and BnB guests all the time so we can help you find our way to our home via taxi or a car rental.

Fantastic cooking class

This was a great cooking class! When my husband and I arrived, Nicole thought we were a day early, but we had our reservation. She was gracious and provided us with a private 4-hour class. She explained and demonstrated everything well, and we really enjoyed everything we made. She was delightful, chatted with us as we cooked, and then shared the meal. Highly recommend Nicole's cooking classes!

The Highlight of Our Cruise — Nicole’s Table!

Our visit to Nicole’s Table was one of the absolute highlights of our cruise. We chose the Coordinating Curry Class, and it turned out to be so much more than a cooking lesson — it felt like spending the afternoon in the home of friends who genuinely love sharing their culture, food, and stories. Best cooking class I've ever been to, in a beautiful setting.

This was a great experience: wonderful teacher (patient, funny, warm and welcoming), beautiful setting, great food, and fun company. I'm so glad we did this, and would definitely come back for another lesson next time!

Best cooking class ever

Nicole was amazing! She was funny and sweet and knowledgeable. We were so excited to spend the day with her learning how to cook curry chicken. Her house was amazing and so was her husband Adam. After we were done cooking we got to sit on her amazing patio with a breathtaking view of Antigua and enjoy the meal we (myself and my husband) had just prepared alongside with Nicole and her husband. If you ever plan to go to Antigua, go check her out. It is well worth the experience.
