This tour is for those travelers that love to explore a country's culture through its famous local points, it's not a tour that takes you to discotecs to party and drink like crazy, but to discover Medellín's amazing diverse culture, living on first hand, what locals usually do on a normal afternoon/night, not necessarily just on weekends. We'll take you on a journey through the enchanting streets of Medellín as the days flows and the city transforms into a mesmerizing tapestry of lights and flavors. Our Tour offers an unforgettable experience where you'll not only savor the most delicious typical snacks but also visit the best viewpoints, accompanied by amazing vistas of this vibrant, beautiful and unique city embedded in the Andes mountains. Second Mirador De Palmas

1) After being picked up in a comfortable and private transportation, we'll start driving up the Andes mountains, where we start seeing the city from a higher point every time, just expanding in front of our eyes, accompanied by the Andes mountain range like it's cuddling Medellín. Our first stop is the beautiful "Mirador Las Palmas", a very traditional viewpoint loved by the locals, they come here any time of the day just to relax and enjoy the view, at night it's even more beautiful, where we can see all the lights just crawling up to the peak of the mountains.

Our second, going higher up the mountain, is "Zarzal Bar" typical rest stop, one of the most famous "Miradores" of the city, where we get to see Medellín and all its surroundings from the highest part of the city, locals love to come here and hang out, with their couples, family and friends. We'll have our traditional and delicious "CHOCOLATE WITH CHEESE", In this traditional Colombian treat, a piece of mild, fresh cheese is paired with a hot and delicious dark chocolate. The cheese and chocolate are typically served side by side or layered together. The contrast between the creamy, slightly salty cheese and the sweet chocolate creates a unique flavor experience that many Colombians love!! 3) After Zarzal, we'll drive to our second stop, the most populated city of Colombia, Sabaneta, we'll drive through its local streets and visit its beautiful colorful park, we'll be greeted by the delightful blend of natural beauty and urban charm. The park offers a tranquil escape where friendly locals love sitting and chatting, admiring vibrant flowers, plants and trees, and relax by the soothing fountain, here, we'll enjoy some delicious "BUÑUELOS", a cherished Colombian treat that you'll find all year, but particularly around Christmas time, shaped into small balls and fried until golden brown and crispy on the outside, while remaining soft and fluffy on the inside. We'll also try here our delicious "AREPA DE CHOCOLO", enjoying like a real local, just sitting and observing the magical vibe of the city. Can't miss the "PAN DE QUESO", known as one of the best breads in the world!! You'll find out why we're so proud of this small, delicious and flavorful bread.

We can't miss a shot of our most traditional drinks and a typical bar, "AGUARDIENTE ANTIOQUEÑO & RUM", a liquorish drink with an essence of anis flavored tones, it's the favorite drink of our region, perfect for exalting Colombians passion for gathering up, dancing and partying. A great tour to see a different side of the city

A great tour to see a different side of the city while being taught about each type of food. Diego was very informative guide and he inriched each visit to the locations included.

Great views and good food.

We enjoyed our half day food tour with Diego. Diego was a good guide. He was knowledgeable and friendly. We enjoyed talking with him about life in Columbia. The views were spectacular from both restaurants that we stopped at El Zarzal and The Eighth Wonder. It was fun trying a variety of local street food with a guide who could explain a bit about the traditions and history.

Everything was perfect!...

Everything was perfect! Juan Carlos was a perfect match for us (2 US 30-year-old males). This was our 1st full day in Medelin. Not only were the food and tour amazing, but he also made recommendations where to venture out on our own and fun places to watch FIFA and Columbia. Highly recommend this tour and hope you're lucky enough to be paired with Juan Carlos.
