Offers a rare opportunity to taste wines made from Nrneni, a grape grown on less than half a hectare in Armenia. This intimate experience, set in the picturesque Ararat Valley, is led by a passionate family-run winery, where guests can see the winemaking process firsthand and even label a bottle themselves.

Guide: You will be led by the founder throughout the experience.

A meat and cheese platter, crackers, and Armenian pakhlava come standard with this experience.

Five local wines, tea, coffee, and water come standard with this experience.

Experience the essence of Armenian winemaking , where tradition, rare indigenous grapes, and award-winning wines come together in an intimate setting. Your experience will begin with an introduction to our family’s winemaking journey and the rare grapes we use, including Nrneni, grown on less than half a hectare in Armenia. As you explore our boutique winery, you’ll see firsthand how we select, ferment, and bottle our wines—and even have the chance to label a bottle yourself. Your guided tasting will feature five wines, including the IWSC 2024 Bronze Medal-winning MOONQ Nrneni 2023 and the MUNDUS 2024 Silver Medal-winning MOONQ Coupage 2022 (Areni, Khndoghni, Nrneni). You’ll also taste MOONQ Coupage 2023, MOONQ Voskehat 2023 (white) & MOONQ Areni Rosé 2022. To complement the wines, you’ll enjoy a meat and cheese platter, crackers, and Armenian pakhlava, similar to Middle Eastern baklava, followed by a cup of Armenian herbal tea, brewed in a 19th-century Tula samovar from Artsakh. Set in the tranquil Ararat Valley, with stunning views of Mount Ararat, this experience offers the perfect balance of discovery, relaxation, and exceptional Armenian wines.

⭐️ 5/5 — A real discovery for wine lovers

If you are interested in wine and want to discover a side of Armenia that goes far beyond the usual tourist route, MOONQ Wines is absolutely worth a visit. What I loved most was that this was not just a wine tasting. It felt like a real introduction to Armenian winemaking, its history, its people and its incredibly interesting local grape varieties. a beautiful, cozy place with a view of mount Ararat already sounds like the perfect plan - add wine, and it gets even better! what stayed with me most was the story of the wine’s DNA, passed down through generations of the owner Tevan’s family. everything was delicious, warm, and genuinely interesting - definitely not one of those tastings where you just nod and pretend to understand everything ;)

An absolute must-visit boutique winery! The storytelling is captivating, making the entire tasting experience feel incredibly welcoming and exclusive. We fell in love with their signature Nrneni and the outstanding hospitality. Great wine,emotional story, and a beautiful atmosphere. My partner and I had the best time at this wine tasting experience and would recommend it to everyone visiting Yerevan. From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect — delicious snacks, amazing wines, and the warmest hospitality from our host, Tevan. If you are looking for an authentic and soul-stirring experience, this family-owned winery is a must-visit. The highlight of our visit was Mr. Poghosyan.
