What we expected and more! Pick up was on time. The van was comfortable. Balam, our guide/ driver, was an excellent navigator. The tour went the same as advertised, but what you experience is so much more. My wife and I ended up booking this tour late on a Sunday for a Monday morning tour. We received a prompt response from the company regarding our preferences. We were informed that our guide was primarily a Spanish speaker. We decided to go ahead with the booking. Keep in mind that we worked on basic conversational Spanish before the trip. This is an amazing tour and great value for money. This 8hour day trip allowed us to see the valleys and natural beauty that surrounds Oaxaca city and learn in detail about mezcal production and its ties to the local culture and community. We sampled a wide range of mezcal, from traditional family productions to larger distilleries. We also had a delicious lunch at a local market and visited Tule which is home to a 2000 yr old tree.
