What an incredible day at St Hugo in the Barossa Valley! The Garden to Table experience felt less like a formal wine tasting and more like spending the afternoon with good friends who just happen to be amazing chefs and wine experts. We started with a glass of Champagne and a stroll through the vineyards to the Kitchen Garden, where Adrian walked us through how they grow and use the produce on their seasonal menu. Perfect day at St Hugo's. Started off with a guided tour of the garden and estate with Executive Head Chef Simon Hicks accompanied by a glass of bubbly. Simon gave a great insight into history of the winery and his own extensive chef adventures around the world. Next we were presented with a table overlooking the kitchen where we were treated to one of the most stunning food experience I've ever had, perfectly matched with St Hugo's finest wine varietals. What an amazing wine and food experience at St Hugo cellar door. Surrounded by beautiful vineyards our small group was taken on a tour of the grounds with a bottomless glass of French champagne before being taken into the restaurant for the most divine five course degustation meal accompanied by St Hugo‘s most superb wines.
