Its wide sandy beach and variety of wave conditions make it suitable for surfers of different experience levels. Beyond learning how to stand on a board, surfing teaches participants how to read wave patterns, understand ocean movement, and develop confidence in the water. Cerritos has become an important part of Baja's surf culture, attracting travelers and local surfers alike with its combination of accessible waves and relaxed coastal atmosphere.

- Observer/companion spots require advance reservation and additional transportation and lunch fee. Observer option does not include surfboard or surf lesson participation • Surf lessons operate seasonally approximately from November 15 through March 15 based on seasonal swell conditions
- This experience requires favorable weather conditions. If canceled due to unsafe weather, ocean conditions, or operational restrictions, guests will be offered an alternative date or full refund
- Guests receive exact meeting or pick-up instructions within 24 hours after booking through the Viator operator chat. If not received, please contact us at least 24 hours before your tour
- No locker facilities are available, but belongings may usually remain inside the transportation vehicle during the activity
- Medical refund requests require an official same-day doctor’s certificate and prior notification before activity start time
- Suitable for beginner, intermediate, and advanced surfers with coaching adapted to skill level and ocean conditions
