What a wonderful day. Terry was our tour guide and he was so full of impressive wine knowledge. We enjoyed many wines tastes and incredible hosts at each of the cellar doors. It felt like we were there as friends of the hosts particularly at the Swinging Gate vineyard and Hinton Bay where we sat in their dinning room tasting amazing wines. Terry was an excellent guide and driver. We enjoyed our visits to four cellar doors and enjoyed the wines which were pleasant variations on the fare we are used to at home.

I had a very enjoyable day, helped by glorious sunshine! There aren't many day trips from Launceston which don't go a long way away and this fit the brief very well. Terry drove us well - we were 10 people; apart from introductory remarks at each winery he left the bulk of the talk to the wineries. A nice selection of wineries with several grape varieties to those that concentrated on the Big 2. We had a very nice platter lunch at the second winery. It was unrushed and very enjoyable.
