Mary, a NYC local who grew up Italian and has been cooking Italian food her entire life, can teach cooking classes. She is an expert at jarring tomatoes, making fresh pasta, and sauces like pesto, marina, Cacio e Pepe, and clam sauce. Participants can learn these new recipes at Mary's Greenwich Village home with lovely skyline views and may be able to dine on the roof. The class is hands-on, but customizable for those who would prefer to take more notes and enjoy the sit-down meal.

The host Mary was born and raised in NYC. She loves to cook in her Greenwich Village apartment and host those interested in learning how to prepare recipes that utilize the most local and delicious ingredients.
About the host Mary: "Cooking brings me great joy - I learned many recipes from my Italian mom. Most of our ingredients come from the Union Square Farmer's Market, where all the best NYC chefs shop."

Linguine with pesto
You will prepare fresh pesto with pine nuts, basil, garlic, and olive oil using two techniques, and you get to be the judge.

Depending on the season, you will prepare either tomato sauce from local tomatoes or linguini with clam sauce.

The best cooking class
This was such an incredible experience! The host is so sweet and truly knows her stuff. I am so grateful she allowed us into her home and the food was all delicious as well. I would definitely recommend it to everyone! 10/10

We had a great evening! Mary was great! The food was delicious! The ingredients were so fresh, and we were hands on with the cooking. Views were spectacular!

It’s was a great...
It’s was a great experience. Mary and Nonni were excellent hosts, very warm and welcoming. Our group enjoyed hanging out, preparing the meal and then, of course partaking in the meal. That night felt like a warm hug as we all sat around the table enjoying each others company and listening as Mary and Nonni shared their stories of living in New York.
