Choosing the formula "Discovery" means entering the universe of a family estate founded in 1784 and today carried by the 9th generation of the family. At Domaine de la Higuère, the wines are made entirely on site, from the vine to the glass, perpetuating a know-how passed down for more than two centuries. This experience brings together, in a single visit, discovery of the estate and tasting of wines, Floc de Gascogne and Armagnac. An authentic and friendly way to discover the Gascon region, in contact with those who make it live daily.

In the heart of Gascony, in Mirepoix, the Domaine de la Higuère, family estate founded in 1784 and passed down for 9 generations, opens its doors for a first immersion in its wine world. With the "Discovery" formula, take advantage of a guided tour of the cellars and production areas to discover the major stages of winemaking of the estate, from the winemaking room to bottling. The tour concludes with a guided tasting of 4 wines, a Floc de Gascogne and an Armagnac, to discover the emblematic products of the estate in a friendly atmosphere. Tours are offered in French and English all year round. During the summer months, they can also be organized in Spanish, Portuguese and Japanese, depending on availability. Winery memories

I stayed at Wwoof, and they also gave me wine tastings and explanations of the winery. They were all delicious, but I particularly liked the white wine from Esquiro. They are bright and kind people.

An unforgettable experience – highly recommended! 🍷❤️ Our visit to Domaine de la Higuère left us with unforgettable memories! This is a charming, welcoming, family-run estate with a truly authentic atmosphere. All the winemaking takes place on-site, and the cellars filled with rows upon rows of wine barrels are an impressive sight. Father's 70th birthday

I visited this place yesterday with my family who were visiting from England. It is a wonderful spot. We received a very warm welcome from the owner, David, and his team, who truly made our day special. We brought my father for his 70th birthday, and David made the occasion feel extra magical. It is a very real, down-to-earth family-run business. They also organised our tour in English. Merci beaucoup! We will be back

Intimate wine tasting

Small winery and vineyard that offered us a private tour of the winery. Hannah explained history of the grounds since their aquisition by the current family, and the basics of how wine was made for the different products they have. We then had a fantastic tasting of their 2 whites, 3 rosés and 4 reds, as well as 2 Flocs and 2 Armagnacs from an associated local distillery.
