About your host – Iana Hi, I’m Iana — an art lover, storyteller, and local guide from Bucharest. I studied acting and painting, and later completed a Master’s degree in Fine Arts, because I’ve always believed that life, like art, is meant to be felt deeply. I’ve lived in Bali, Singapore, and Hong Kong, and traveled to over 40 countries, always searching for beauty, inspiration, and connection. Yet somehow, I always find myself coming back to Bucharest — a city that feels like an open book filled with stories, colors, and emotions. Through my tours, I love to share the poetry of this city: its hidden courtyards, artists’ secrets, and the powerful women who shaped its history. My experiences are not just about sightseeing — they’re about feeling the soul of Bucharest, one story at a time. When I’m not guiding, I paint, write, and spend time with my two cats, who think they’re small philosophers. If you join my tour, expect warmth, curiosity, and a few unexpected stories .

fascinating experience with this professional and dedicated guide

I spent just two nights in Bucharest on a solo trip, and this tour ended up being the highlight of my stay. Iana guided me through the city’s most iconic spots, weaving together history, architecture and art in such an engaging way. Her passion for Bucharest truly shows in every story she shares. Walking Tour and Dinner with a local in Bucharest

I traveled alone and spent only two nights in Bucharest, and this experience was absolutely perfect for me. Iana showed me the most important landmarks of the city, beautifully blending history, architecture, and art. You can truly feel her love for art and culture – everything was top-notch. She gave me great recommendations and showed me hidden places that most tourists never get to see. Iana is a genuine story teller and amazing tour guide

Iana, our guide, picked us up from the hotel, and then we walked along Calea Victoriei, one of the most important streets in Bucharest. She showed us the balcony from which Ceaușescu gave his last speech, the ex Royal Palace, churches and many other tourist attractions as well as some hidden gems. She spoke very interestingly and humorously about the Romanian Athenaeum and the Casa Mița Biciclista. The Best Way to Experience Bucharest: With Iana’s Insight and Warmth.

I was traveling alone in Bucharest and joined Iana’s walking tour with dinner — it was the best decision I could have made.
