Faydalı Bilgiler

During your personal tasting experience I will guide you through the distinctive world of Bulgarian wines. Although Bulgaria has been producing wine for 5000 years it is still relatively unknown to the rest of the world. Now a rising new generation of Bulgarian boutique winemakers are devoted to the craft and bringing new attention to our country. You will taste 5 wine varieties of local grapes unique to Bulgaria, that can not be found anywhere else: Miskets, Melnik, Mavrud, Gumza and Rubin. Plus, local cheeses, artisanal bread and mineral water. The tasting is held in one of the best boutique wine shops in Sofia – Tempus Vini, which is located on an artsy street in the city center, known for its fine restaurants and boutiques. And just a few streets away from Sofia’s main pedestrian boulevard. During the tasting I can tell you about the wine regions of Bulgaria including the history and the wine culture of my beautiful country. All tastings are held in English or Bulgarian

Excellent and great value tasting

Great wine tasting with Kalin. I learned a lot about Bulgarian wine and tried a range of very tasty and interesting wines. Kalin explained the wines in a very accessible way and answered questions with more detail when needed. The tasting was very cheap for a couple of hours (€20 per person) including three different Bulgarian cheeses to accompany the wines. We had a chance to chat to the other people at the tasting and meet fellow wine lovers from across Europe.

Unique good wine experience

As a wine lover who travels the world tasting wine, I was surprised when I found out that Bulgaria makes wine, booked this tour and it was a great introduction to bulgarian wines and a little bit of their history, the tour guide which is also a wine maker is very knowledgeable and introduced me to very unique good wines that you won’t find in any restaurant in Bulgaria or anywhere outside of the country; if you are visiting sofia and like wine this is a must do experience, im definitely going ba...daha fazla oku

Highly recommended - Great quality wines

We had an amazing tasting experience with Kalin. The 5 wines were all different and all excellent 👌 We weren't just given the standard mass produced wines found in supermarkets. The history and description of the terroir for the various regions was really well done. 3 paired cheeses and this was a really great experience. Highly recommended.
