We enjoyed our Kyoto food tour with Hiro. In addition to delicious food, Hiro’s local knowledge of Kyoto area, culture, and traditions made our encounter very enriching. But the most memorable experiences were the conversations over dinner. Looking forward to future visits and tours of Kyoto.

Hiroshi is a fantastic tour guide. He had a great sense of humour. We had a wonderful meal and he was very open to ordering a dish that we wanted to try out. He took several group pictures at popular tourist sites. It was a treat to have so many pictures of our tour. It was nice to have someone who is local who had detailed knowledge of Kyoto. He was very informative and we learned a lot about the Japanese culture. I would recommend Hiroshi to everyone.

We had an excellent tour with Hiro! I am celiac and he was great with making sure all my food was gluten free. The food was very good and we got to try some interesting things. Highly recommend this tour!

Hiro went above and beyond to turn our Kyoto food tour into a one of a kind evening filled with great conversation, beautiful sites, incredible history, and unique dishes that we wouldn’t have found on our own. He took many pictures for us and even sent us several recommendations for our upcoming visits to Osaka and Okinawa. We highly recommend an evening with Hiro on your next visit to Kyoto!

Hiro made a good introduction on what we understood are some of the common foods people eat in izakayas. We tried multiple dishes, ranging from gyozas, soups, omlette with soup and rice, yakitori (charcoal grilled chicken skewers - very delicious), lightly pickled cucumbers and other dishes i can't recall their name :). Most of them were to our liking. We also had some cool drinks (e.g. a yuzu based cocktail which was light and great) as we turned down beer as we are not fans of it. After the tour, Hiro also guided us through the Gion district, Yasaka shrine + pagoda, explaining us some very interesting historical characteristics of the area, japanese culture and recommended other areas to visit. We really appreciated the effort and the fact that he extended the tour to do this kind of thing. It complemented the whole experience and took things to the next level. So if it's your first time in Kyoto and you want to learn what to eat, where to eat and where to go, Hiro's your guy! Very satisfied with his tour!

One of our best nights in Japan. Hiro is a great person, expert guide and took us places we wouldn’t have gone to on our own. Food choices were so tasty and after dinner walk through Gion was amazing and topped off a great night

I visited during off-season so I basically got a private tour. I had a great time hanging out with Hiro and he got us some really tasty yakitori and gyoza. The stroll after eating was even better. I got to see some great architecture at night and learn some interesting facts. Highly recommend!

An absolute must for anyone coming to Kyoto. Hiro is an incredible guide and showed us places we would never have known about whilst detailing the history of Kyoto. A definite highlight to an already amazing holiday. Thank you Hiro 🇯🇵🇦🇺

Hiroshi was fantastic! He showed us a great time throughout the tour and made everything easy and enjoyable. He was also very accommodating of my wife’s gluten allergy, which we really appreciated. Highly recommend!
