Great time had at Osaka food tour. Decent, local food stops navigated by a knowledgeable guide who was equally engaging with the two kids, their mum and dad and us two random Scots who made up our group.
Everyone enjoyed, and i’d recommend for sure.

What a lovely experience making Udon noodles. Chef Chinki was most welcoming and clearly explained every step. She is very passionate about cooking with the best possible fresh ingredients to accompany the udon noodles. Many of them were new to me. Thank you for sharing your skills.

A great session with Takako, learning about Japanese home cooking and the benefits for fermented foods. Tasted koji, kombu, mirin and a variety of soy sauces.
Takako then made some healthy and delicious dishes, which was a good change from some heavier restaurant meals.
The recipes were also provided!
Would definitely recommend.

I absolutely loved this experience. The host was so friendly and inviting. Her home was beautiful and she made myself and another guest tea. She spoke through all the ingredients, provided us with a recipe. I felt so at home. Would definitely do another class again!

This was a really great experience. Backstreets for sure, and in places, tough and seedy ones where I never would have ventured as a solo woman traveler. Knox really knew his stuff about the neighborhoods, and how organized crime works, and we even walked through a red light district that was nothing I'd ever seen before, anywhere. I definitely have an expanded sense of Osaka and Japan now. Castles and shrines are wonderful, but this was much better, and I'm glad its in my mix of complicated Japan, because its under the surface. Way under!

Doing Japan for the first time I would highly recommend to do your food tour here in Osaka, the food capitol and you get the opportunity to experience it with Knox ( shout to our heavy metal, head banger) tour guide.
