A once in a lifetime experience for me! If you are a tourist to Kyoto please try this place if you can. It is a relatively affordable option for Kaiseki, we had great service and the food was exceptional.

We are so glad to have been to this restaurant, the food and the service are all amazing. It was a great experience of those traditional meat, everything outcomes our expectation. The fuit at the end was a great surprise, it was my favorite fruit, thank you so much for that!

Wow this Unagi restaurant blew me away with how delicious the flavors were. We got the Hitsumabushi Set and it was the BEST thing I ate on my trip. The unagi has a smoky flavor infused from the charcoal grill and it brought out a rich fattiness from the eels which was mouth watering. I would definitely recommend going there while in Kyoto

Great experience, the tarrace tables offer a very nice view. Food was delicious and beautiful presented. Service was exceptional and overall was one of the best meals we had in our trip to Japan.

My wife and I made reservations to dine while on our visit to Kyoto. The food was amazing. It changed our perception and expectations of grilled eel and was truly one of our best meals in Kyoto. Thank you for allowing us to dine at the restaurant.

Superb dining experience, the service and the food were exceptional, we were four people from Italy and we managed to book the dinner for the day after. Great quality and reasonable price.

The service of the staff was fantastic with the host assisting me in finding the correct name of their resturant yuzu sake drink online. The yuzu and ume sake alcohol pairing with my family dinner was revolutionary to me as its my first time seeing yuzu and ume sake made from the region being sold at the resturant. The drinks went really well the various course meals from salted grilled fish, the matsutake mushroom, autumn theme dinner, and sashimi with real Wasabi. My family first time enjoying kyoto kaiseki style dinner was a wonderful experience in japan so far, that they end up comparing various other similar kaiseki resturant to minokichi. The taste of the matcha tea during the dessert portion at the end was so dark and bitter rich that upon visiting uji for their famous tea, taste even better than the matcha tea at the cafeteria upstairs of the uji tea factory and museum. The artistic approach of the appetizer with its cute autumn theme set up gave my mother a wonderful delight in seeing how cute the presentation and thoughts that went into shaping each course meal as an adventurous pilgrimage during the autumn season. The flexibility and patience of the staff to cater to my father time rescheduling demands was remarkable and something I would also recommend to others of the resturant profound patience. Personally I would recommend this place to all my first time japan friends visiting to experience kaiseki here before elsewhere.
