This was far more than a dinner—it was a storytelling experience through food. Each course used Shizuoka ingredients and was thoughtfully connected to the life and legacy of Tokugawa Ieyasu. The historic setting made the experience feel immersive, almost like dining inside a living museum. The chef and staff were welcoming and clearly passionate about sharing the story behind each dish. I went on the Mount Fuji Tour with my wife. We were guided by Lauren and Alex and they were fantastic to travel with! They took us to some local traditional restaurants which were great, but the best food on the tour was at the yakisoba restaurant! We enjoyed the Mount Fuji Museum too. We didn't get to see real Fuji-San as it was raining on the day we went, sadly, but our guides were great and so were the food. We got to taste some really amazing local food and learnt a lot about the Mount Fuji Area!
