Myself, my daughter and husband spent time with Koichi looking at the tea plantation and learning about tea followed by some tea tasting a trip to the top of a mountain with the most spectacular Jews. We returns to his home where kyoko had prepared some light refreshments for us. We had the most wonderful afternoon and really enjoyed learning about tea and seeing the beautiful views. Koichi and Kyoko were the perfect hosts, beautiful people who did everything the could to make the afternoon enjoyable for us. We would definitely recommend for anyone who loves tea, or for anyone who just loves beautiful scenery. Thankyou Koichi and Kyoto for a wonderful afternoon ☺️

Very interesting to learn about the different types and uses of green tea. Yamada-san is clearly passionate about his region, and his knowledge of tea is profound. He is a charming and kind host. The area is beautiful and on a clear day you can see Mt. Fuji. Highly recommended!

Amazing host ! It was more than worth it ! We tasted different kind of teas, had a great view of Mt Fuji, hand picked some tea and even ate some tea ! I recommend this experience without a doubt !

What a great experience! So enjoyed learning about the cultivation of shitakes and picking mushrooms at the farm. Even better was roasting and eating them-unbelievably delicious! Also made rice balls wrapped in nori with some pickled shitakes and had green tea to wash it all down. Bought some packaged mushrooms and other mushroom products. Our host Yoko was charming and so kind-drove us to the train station at end of our visit. Highly recommend this off the beaten track experience.

My favorite day of my week-long trip in Japan! Koichi was so kind and accommodating and he really made this day special for us. The location is stunning. We were in early April and the Cherry Blossoms were peak and the weather was perfect. He served us tea and a light meal and drove us around the community. It was just the experience that I was looking for to get a taste of rural life in Japan and see this remarkable region where green tea is grown. Thank you so much!!

Koichi and Kyoko were the perfect hosts. Koichi picked us up from the station and drove us around the area while stopping here and there to taste tea, enjoy nature, etc. My friend and I were then given a tour of a tea factory before getting lunch at an observatory where we could see Mt. Fuji. We then helped a couple of the local tea farmers with their work as we learned about how they cultivate and harvest the tea leaves. The farmers were super sweet and patient with us as we fumbled around the field and even gave us snacks during breaks. Once the work was done, we went to our accommodations for the night where Koichi and Kyoko prepared a traditional Kaiseki dinner and breakfast for us. Both meals were delicious and beautiful. All in all, it was an enlightening day and we will never look at tea the same way ever again. The amount of work and dedication that go into the production of tea is both impressive and humbling, and we really appreciated being given a glimpse into their world. If you ever come to Japan, I highly recommend booking this experience as a part of your trip.

Koichi showed us around the Shizuoka region and was able to give us a lovely tea tasting experience. The lunch provided was also very delicious. A very cute and comfortable local experience

Well worth the money! Very friendly and cute hosts, a lot activities planned and fantastic food and green tea. I absolutely recommend!
