Tours Nocturnos

Had a great time with Hiro, great food and sake and a really pretty tour of Gion at night. Hiro gave us some brilliant insight into some of the culture and explained various things about the buildings and shrines. Thank you!

My friends and I enjoyed an incredible evening with Hiro on a food tour around Kyoto. He was gracious enough to accommodate two dietary restrictions for parts of our group - one pescatarian and one gluten-free in a four-person party - and picked restaurants that had plenty for all of us to enjoy. And beyond that, he was simply a lot of fun to be with and intensely knowledgeable about Kyoto, its history, and its culture. Highly recommended.

Hiroshi was fabulous. Thank you for a great evening.

I had a wonderful time tasting sushi and yakitori (and more delicious sushi) with Hiro. 100% recommend for the cozy, lively and not-super-touristy spots that we visited. Very accommodating to your preferences and dietary needs, should you have them. Would definitely do it again!

Our time with Hiro was absolutely lovely. The food he took us to eat food that was simply delicious and was able to cater to my wife who has celiac. He is very knowledgeable, and the tour after the dinner was very fun and educating. He took us to see the nicest parts of Gion which were very beautiful. He made our first day in Kyoto an absolute blast and gave us a taste for more. Would definitely recommend this, it was perfect

I had an amazing time with Hibi! Since I was the only participant, it was a private tour. We visited several authentic local izakayas in Kichijoji that I would never have found on my own. Hibi was very friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. I learned a lot about Japanese food and drinking culture while having great and deeper conversations. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for an authentic local experience away from the typical tourist areas. Definitiv worth its money!

We had an amazing tour with Hero and would highly recommend him. As a UK travel agent, I'm always looking for experiences that I can confidently recommend to my clients and this is definitely one of them. Hero was knowledgeable, friendly and passionate about Kyoto. He took us to two fantastic local restaurants that we would never have found on our own, giving us a real taste of authentic Kyoto. Afterward, we enjoyed a fascinating walking tour of Gion, where Hero shared the history and culture of the area, making it come alive. This was one of the highlights of our time in Kyoto. If you're looking for an authentic experience with a brilliant local guide, don't hesitate to book with Hero. I can't wait to recommend this tour to my future clients! PS. here's a good photographer too.

Hiro gave us a fabulous food experience in downtown Kyoto and informative walking tour through the Gion district. The restaurants he selected for us were perfect, and met our challenging food restrictions :) He was also a great photographer and knew the perfect locations to take the perfect photo! Thank You, Hiro! You made our time in Kyoto unforgettable! Sincerely, Brian & Kristin

Super Great time with Bruce, he ensured the evening stayed joyful, fun and engaging! It was not awkward and he was insightful, friendly and made us feel so welcomed! His warm and knowledgable approach made the food tour amazing for my family and I. Take note, I had 3 elderly and 5 adults! He managed it all with grace and poise and I thank you again for an evening to remember, SEE YOU AGAIN BRUCE! thank you

We enjoyed our Kyoto food tour with Hiro. In addition to delicious food, Hiro’s local knowledge of Kyoto area, culture, and traditions made our encounter very enriching. But the most memorable experiences were the conversations over dinner. Looking forward to future visits and tours of Kyoto.

Hiroshi is a fantastic tour guide. He had a great sense of humour. We had a wonderful meal and he was very open to ordering a dish that we wanted to try out. He took several group pictures at popular tourist sites. It was a treat to have so many pictures of our tour. It was nice to have someone who is local who had detailed knowledge of Kyoto. He was very informative and we learned a lot about the Japanese culture. I would recommend Hiroshi to everyone.

We had an excellent tour with Hiro! I am celiac and he was great with making sure all my food was gluten free. The food was very good and we got to try some interesting things. Highly recommend this tour!
