Super Great time with Bruce, he ensured the evening stayed joyful, fun and engaging! It was not awkward and he was insightful, friendly and made us feel so welcomed! His warm and knowledgable approach made the food tour amazing for my family and I. Take note, I had 3 elderly and 5 adults! We enjoyed our Kyoto food tour with Hiro. In addition to delicious food, Hiro’s local knowledge of Kyoto area, culture, and traditions made our encounter very enriching. But the most memorable experiences were the conversations over dinner. Looking forward to future visits and tours of Kyoto.

Hiroshi is a fantastic tour guide. He had a great sense of humour. We had a wonderful meal and he was very open to ordering a dish that we wanted to try out. He took several group pictures at popular tourist sites. It was a treat to have so many pictures of our tour. It was nice to have someone who is local who had detailed knowledge of Kyoto. He was very informative and we learned a lot about the Japanese culture. I would recommend Hiroshi to everyone.

We had an excellent tour with Hiro! I am celiac and he was great with making sure all my food was gluten free. The food was very good and we got to try some interesting things. Highly recommend this tour!

This was a really great experience. Backstreets for sure, and in places, tough and seedy ones where I never would have ventured as a solo woman traveler. Knox really knew his stuff about the neighborhoods, and how organized crime works, and we even walked through a red light district that was nothing I'd ever seen before, anywhere. I definitely have an expanded sense of Osaka and Japan now. Castles and shrines are wonderful, but this was much better, and I'm glad its in my mix of complicated Japan, because its under the surface. Way under!

I enjoyed a wonderful tour and tasted some delicious dishes from Osaka. The host did a great job, Thank you for this wonderful experience. I will recommend your channel and your tours to other people traveling to japan.

Fabulous food tour with history and background of the neighborhood. We enjoyed making new friends with the other guests and our guide.

Our guide Tak was great! We had so much fun walking around Kyoto and trying the different kinds of food. At the end of the tour, we asked him to direct us to a particular shop we were looking for. Not only did he take us there, he also stayed after to make sure we did not have issues with communication! Thanks for your help Tak!

Hiro went above and beyond to turn our Kyoto food tour into a one of a kind evening filled with great conversation, beautiful sites, incredible history, and unique dishes that we wouldn’t have found on our own. He took many pictures for us and even sent us several recommendations for our upcoming visits to Osaka and Okinawa. We highly recommend an evening with Hiro on your next visit to Kyoto!

Hiro made a good introduction on what we understood are some of the common foods people eat in izakayas. We tried multiple dishes, ranging from gyozas, soups, omlette with soup and rice, yakitori (charcoal grilled chicken skewers - very delicious), lightly pickled cucumbers and other dishes i can't recall their name :). Most of them were to our liking. We also had some cool drinks (e.g. a yuzu based cocktail which was light and great) as we turned down beer as we are not fans of it. After the tour, Hiro also guided us through the Gion district, Yasaka shrine + pagoda, explaining us some very interesting historical characteristics of the area, japanese culture and recommended other areas to visit. We really appreciated the effort and the fact that he extended the tour to do this kind of thing. It complemented the whole experience and took things to the next level. So if it's your first time in Kyoto and you want to learn what to eat, where to eat and where to go, Hiro's your guy! Very satisfied with his tour!

This was an excellent tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and it was a unique look at Osaka. Dinner was a bonus for sure. Highly recommended.
