MUST DO THIS experience!
Wow wow wow!!! I am still dreaming about our time with Jane! She is Canadian but has lived full time in Mexico for many many years (maybe 20?). So she is considered a real local to the Hualtuco community. Her background and education in women’s history and Mexican culture shines through in the experience she creates for her guests. Eat Up! What an Experience!
I had this experience back in December 2024 and it was exceptional. It is off the beaten path, but that’s a part of the fun. The good was amazing and there is also a small gift shop where you can buy cooking utensils, salt seasonings, etc. The host is very in tune with the local village and the surrounding ecosystem; her knowledge of your food and how everything is sourced makes for an even better experience. The food was delicious! I cannot recommend this enough.

What an experience
I can’t speak highly enough of this experience. The host/owner, Jane, is extremely knowledgeable of Oaxaca, Huatulco, the local community, and the people and history that make up the culture of this beautiful region. I could go through and list the many delicious dishes we had and the story behind each, but it wouldn’t be helpful. For one, this is truly a “village to table” meal and what is in season or available from the local community may not be the same as what we had last night. In addition...더 읽기
