Midori is a great guide with a lot of recommendations for coffee, food, shopping, etc. These recommendations also aren't limited to Kyoto either, so she is a great resource for therest of your Japan trip.

Our guide, Nicola, did a great job explaining the Geisha district and its history and culture. He appropriately adapted the pace for our mobility-challenged guest. The family-run izakaya for dinner had tasty, local food and sake. I would recommend!

Amazing food tour -- regardless of whether or not you're vegan, you'll experience some excellent food. Sami was a great guide and very knowledgeable.

Wonderful experience with Aki learning more about Japanese food and drink culture, with tons of delicious food in establishments that truly felt local. We were also super grateful for him working around a gluten sensitivity and saw that he was attentive to various food preferences amongst our group. Learned about the Ueno area and had an all around fantastic time!

Tried two different Ramen shops with two different types of Ramen. Hiroshi was respectful of my husband's shellfish allergy as well.

The day trip with Tako was fantastic and delightful! Before the tour, she already shared many insights and detailed instructions on how to get to the meeting point. She was ever so curious, and we had no problem at all finding newer and newer topics to discuss about each other's cultures. The program is well-organised, and Tako has prepared additional materials to demonstrate Japanese culture – we learned so much about the blend of Shinto and Buddhism, sake and soy sauce making, the history of the country trails, and more. The ladies at the temple were charming, friendly, helpful, and generous. I felt so lucky and grateful to get to meet them and the story behind building such a strong community. We ate the best vegetarian menu set in Japan, with beautiful plating, which they guided us through each step. 🍱 I highly recommend this day trip to anyone who wants to move farther from the main tourist attractions to get indulged with more local stories, which may or may not include a half-eyed frog. 🐸 Thank you, Taki, for the experience! ✨

Excellent for vegetarian food lovers

Aki was an incredible guide, very personable and an all around pleasure to spend an evening with. Even more impressive was his ability to work with my wife’s Celiac disease. He made sure I had something to eat and drink at every stop. Cannot say enough good things, nor could I recommend this more highly. Arigatou gozaimasu!
