Balinese food is an enigma to most and while the tourist strips along the beach are home to many a fine restaurant (though did you really come to Bali for burgers and Mexican tacos?). For those who truly want to get to grips with the island's fare, you'll need to explore the city's street vendors and local warung eateries. Fortunately, we've got you covered with our food tour, where you'll try 15+ tastes of Bali around the streets of old Denpasar. Our intimate groups, limited to just 8 guests, make it possible to visit humble beloved local favorites which have often been around for generations. While Bali's beaches might be tempting, you'd be one wonton short of a noodle bowl not to join our moveable evening food feast, to tickle your taste buds in places you'll never find alone.

If you want to truly understand Balinese food, you need to do it from the warungs (local eateries), the street vendors and the night markets. Before we get started, our tour reflects the local cuisine and the limitations of street food vendors means we unfortunately cannot cater for every dietary restriction. Here's an honest appraisal for the tour so no-one is disappointed: ✓ Suitable for mild gluten intolerances, but we advise against ✖️ celiac disease, as there are traces of gluten in 3-4 tastings with unavoidable soy sauce. ✖️Vegetarians have 3-4 less tastings due to limited alternatives at some vendors. ✖️ Unsuitable for severe allergies, due to risk of traces and cross-contamination. We'll venture to bustling Badung market to witness the lively nightly street eats of Balinese traders and their tasty fare. From the Indonesian rujak fruit salad to the pukis coconut sponge cake, this tour caps off a food extravaganza that would make you the envy of the other tourists stuck at the hotel pool. Fantastic tour of the street foods in Denpasar Bali

A good value and fantastic tour of the street food in Denpasar Bali. Our tour guide Rus met us at the agreed meeting point on time and was very friendly. He explained what the tour involved in great deal. We set out on a short walk to our first of many stops on the tour. We passed through the flower and produce markets in between food tasting. This was a well rounded tour with a great guide. There was a range of yummy food and lots to look at. I found it quite busy and overwhelming with lots of noise but that was not the tour guides fault it was just the nature of the environment and my issue.

The Bali Bites tour hits the spot once again! From delicious satay and incredible peanut noodles to whole slow-cooked chicken Betutu, crispy fried duck and an assortment of seriously delicious desserts, every stop was packed with amazing flavours. This food tour is a must-do when visiting Bali. In fact, I’m booking this tour again on my next visit.
