The context in which the experience will take place is a quiet country house surrounded by greenery. The cooking lesson will be interactive: thanks to my great experience with Sicilian cuisine I will be able to teach you Sicilian recipes that you can reproduce at home. You will have the opportunity to learn more about Sicilian cuisine and its secrets. During lunch, in a familiar and relaxed atmosphere, we will then have the opportunity to talk about Sicilian culture in general, you will discover how to live in Sicily, what the excellences and shortcomings of this land are. A vegetarian and gluten free menu is available. Please let us know in advance about any dietary restrictions

We will begin our experience with a walk in the garden to collect the fresh ingredients that we will use in the kitchen: tomatoes, basil, onions, etc. In winter, weather permitting, we will instead go in search of wild vegetables. Back home we will cook our lunch together, inspired by the recipe books of Sicilian grandmothers: first courses with fresh pasta, second courses with meat such as rolls or meatballs, vegetarian dishes such as caponata or "i pipi ca muddica", but also "scacce", arancini, panelle , and then cannoli and cassatelle. At the end we will all have lunch together and have time to have pleasant conversations. In good weather we will have lunch on the terrace or in our garden, in winter in the kitchen in front of the wood stove. The whole experience will take place in a family and relaxed atmosphere, immersed in the greenery and silence of the Chiaramonte Gulfi countryside.

We will start with an appetizer of cheeses and cured meats and preserves, all accompanied by focaccia and wine

We will eat fresh pasta prepared together, cavati, ravioli, tagliatelle, the seasoning will depend on the season

Ein sehr schöner Abend mit sizilianischen Flair

Es war ein sehr liebenswerter, netter Empfang und eine Einmalige Erfahrung, die sizilianische Küche näher kennen zu lernen. Das Pesto, welches wir sauber gemacht haben, war sehr lecker. Alles in allem ein sehr schöner gelungener Abend würde das sofort wieder buchen.

Incredible authentic cooking class in Sicilia

Had an incredible experience with Simona today at our private cooking class. She greeted us warmly and showed us through her beautiful gardens as we picked vegetables for our lunch. She then taught us how to cook arancini, parmigiana and several other Sicilian classic dishes which were all DELICIOUS. She is so lovely and brought a great atmosphere the whole day. It was an amazing experience! Very authentic and Simona is a delight! Her home is tucked away in a remote spot that otherwise I would have never seen. Picking vegetables in her garden was a highlight! Just amazing.

An Unforgettable Cooking Experience in the Sicilian Countryside

We had such a wonderful experience with Simona in Chiaramonte Gulfi! The countryside setting was beautiful and peaceful, and we loved starting the class by picking our own fresh vegetables. Simona guided us through making our own pasta dough and shaping it into macaroni, which was such a fun and authentic experience. What really stood out was how generous and thoughtful Simona was.
