With the assistance of our experienced local cook, you will learn to prepare 5 delicious traditional Cretan dishes, the secrets of the olive oil and the mountain herbs, how to select fresh ingredients and many other useful tips. Once the cooking is done, you will enjoy all together the fruits of your creativity with local wine, fresh bread, a traditional desert, Greek music and nice stories......around an old monastery-style table.

If you are interested in Cretan cuisine, Greek food, or you are just crazy about cooking, we invite you to join our traditional cooking lessons. You will cook, taste and enjoy local recipes and prepare delicious dishes with the guidance and assistance of our professional cook. She was born and raised in a Cretan village, bears all the knowledge of her family and shares it with us with love and integrity. All the dishes are made of genuine pure Cretan products such as olive oil, vegetables, cheese, meat, wine, etc. and of course all the ingredients are fresh and local. In addition, useful information about the herbs, olive oil and other ingredients is given, together with explanations of their nutritional value and usage. After cooking, you will all eat together on a long monastery-style table, enjoying the fruits of your creativity with local wine and bread, Greek music and nice stories...... Kali Oreksi! (Enjoy your meal!)

Amazing cooking experience

Warm welcome by Cevi. Clear explanation of the workshop. Very infomal and cozy. Delicios food and drinks (homemade wine and raki). Beautiful view during dinner. We highly recommand this workshop.

Lovely afternoon preparing and eating a delicious meal

Sevi was a fabulous host. From the moment we arrived everything was perfect. We enjoyed meeting and feeding the goats, picking the vegetables that would make our vegetarian meal (my daughter doesn’t eat meat), and then preparing and cooking. Sevi and her mother are patient teachers and explained everything. The lunch was delicious and we could have stayed forever.

Cretan cooking experience

It is a wonderful experience. We are glad we met this loving, kind Greek family. Their hospitality was amazing. They welcomed us with homemade drinks, fresh bread apricot marmalade,goat cheese. They showed us around their farmhouse , we enjoyed fresh fruits from the trees. My 3 year old daughter enjoyed it so much. There is a kid’s area, plenty of toys,some pets and especially the host is so loving towards kids. She is an ex-pre school teacher and is very good in entertaining kids. So worth the drive to this little village cooking experience!

I loved Cevi and her mother and father! We learned so much about plants and fruit trees, goat and especially cooking traditional Cretan dishes! Soooo tasty and fun!
