The private chocolate experience in Cuenca begins at the Huachi Chocolate Museum, where you can taste three types of artisanal chocolate and learn about its composition and how to distinguish them. Explore the aromas and flavors of chocolate to prepare, visit the artisanal products store, and conclude with a practical session where you will make chocolate yourself. A host will welcome you in English or Spanish, thus facilitating the follow-up of the tasting and the workshop. The visit also introduces you to several entrepreneurs who supply the artisanal store.

An experience to remember!
Gabriela answered all my question and she was such a wonderful host. I now understand much more about the history and the process of making real chocolate. Thanks to Michelle, too. She prepared different variations of hot chocolate for me to enjoy and taste the difference.

A Wonderful Chocolate Experience in Cuenca!
We had a wonderful experience on the Chocolate Tour at the Pepa de Oro experience house in Cuenca, Ecuador! 🍫 The tour was very interesting, educational, and fun. We learned a lot about the chocolate-making process and discovered more about the richness of Ecuadorian cacao. The staff was very friendly and the experience was very well organized. It is an activity that we totally recommend to those visiting Cuenca!

Fantastic experience
Absolutely fantastic experience! We learned so much about the history of cacao, explored different chocolate-making techniques, tasted delicious chocolate and even made our own chocolate bars! Our guide was wonderful – knowledgeable, funny, engaging and incredibly easy to understand. She made the whole experience both educational and entertaining. Such a fun, hands-on experience and definitely one of the highlights of our time in Cuenca! Highly recommended! 🍫❤️

Gabriella was amazing guide . So knowledgeable , enthusiastic and made the experience very worthwhile . Michelle was very good chef on our tour that helped make the chocolate experience . Strongly recommend
