Felt like walking through Shanghai with an old friend

I can't recommend this tour enough. From the moment we met Max, it felt less like a guided tour and more like catching up with a local friend who just happens to know everything about his city. The flow was incredibly smooth, every stop had a story, and every bite of food connected to a different chapter of Shanghai's history. I didn't just eat — I understood. A perfect morning

As we had only a few days in Shanghai this time (not our first time in Shanghai) I knew we needed to maximise our time so we book this half day tour with Max. And we are so glad we did. We traveled with our 15yr old son, so we all have diffeent interest. Exceptional Guide with Incredible Preparation

Max was an outstanding guide. Before our tour, he put together an incredibly thoughtful research packet covering breakfast options, Sichuan spices, and the local wet market, complete with prices in both RMB and USD, which made planning effortless. Max took it a step further

This is a Shanghai we wanted to see and taste. We would never have gone into these local restaurants on our own, as we wouldn’t have known what to order. The dinner tour was interesting, but the breakfast tour completely blew our minds because it was so different from what we are used to. And thank you, Max, for sharing insights into the daily lives of young Chinese families today. Highly recommended!
