After the madeira vineyard Tour, we continue up to the worlds second highest sea cliff and Europe’s highest (580m) – (1775 ft). Here you can enjoy the beautiful views of Camara de Lobos and Funchal. Due to sea erosion, caves and terraces were formed along the coastline. The locals made little plots, for crops, forming an incredible watercolour landscape..

Madeira Wine Tour, Vineyard Tour - the last stop is a small fishing village, “Câmara de Lobos”,which is located west of Funchal where the port is a small creek, with a beach and a harbour and with the houses heaped up around the bay. It was named by João Gonçalves Zarco due to thousands of monk seals living in the bay. In 1949 Winston Churchill chose this place to paint its picturesque surroundings. Poncha is a locale drink made of honey, lemon and sugarcane rum, available in the local taverns

Lovely drive to the north...

Lovely drive to the north side of the island, great vineyard tour and views, and loved the cliff overlook and the seaside village visit. Great trip all around.

A little disappointed with this tour. A group of 8 squeezed into a Mercedes Vito with little or no air con on a very humid day. The first stop of 15 minutes was simply enough to stretch our legs an...daha fazla oku

As we only visited a single vineyard, it is a slight stretch to call it a wine tour. However the vineyard itself was quite interesting, and a little different from those in less mountainous terrain...daha fazla oku

We (8 ladies) had a great afternoon with Alpino! He drove us around safely and gave a lot of information about his beloved island. The wine tasting was very nice and relaxed. Really worth it!
