This special tour offers an excellent opportunity to view the Aurora Borealis near Fairbanks, along with the unique experience of enjoying a home-cooked dinner as guests in an off-the-grid Alaskan yurt.

Vegetarian option is available, please advise at time of booking if required
The Aurora Borealis/Northern Lights is a natural phenomenon and cannot be guaranteed. Refunds will not be provided if the Aurora Borealis/Northern Lights is not visible during the tour.
Please note that this is not a restaurant, and we are unable to accommodate gluten-free or vegan meals.
We require a minimum of 4 people to operate this tour. This rarely happens due to the popularity of this tour, but if minimums are not met, you will be advised and offered either a refund or to be rescheduled.
Children under 5 years old are not permitted.

Experience the beauty and wild side of Alaska on this unforgettable evening adventure. Spend a night away from Fairbanks and enjoy a home-cooked dinner before watching for the famous Northern Lights. The Aurora Borealis is one of the world’s most breathtaking natural phenomena. During Alaska’s long winter nights, vibrant colors shimmer and dance across the sky in an unforgettable display. Your cozy yurt is located just outside Fairbanks, far enough from the city lights to provide excellent Aurora viewing opportunities. Stay warm with a late dinner of salmon — or vegetarian pesto pasta upon request — and lively conversation while waiting for the Aurora to appear. Large north-facing windows offer excellent views from the comfort of the cabin. If you choose to step outside for photographs or a full view of the sky, be sure to dress warmly in layers.

Abbiamo effettuato l’escursione al segnale del circolo polare artico il 13 Agosto. La nostra guida Paul è stata magnifica e brillante nello spiegarci molte cose sulla flora e sulla fauna .

Viewing of Northern Lights from a yurt

George was our tour guide. George was wonderful, friendly and very knowledgeable about Northern Lights and things around Fairbanks. There was an unexpected incident on our tour. George picked up a passenger in a wheelchair. George was unaware that there would be a passenger in a wheelchair. George was very accommodating to this passenger and family. This was extra work needed from George. This was not a fault of 1st Alaska Tours at all. It was a fault of the family for failing to notify the tour...daha fazla oku

Great nigth!!

It was amazing!! The dinner was delicius, was perfect for the auroras expirience!! The chef was great... Dan, our tour gide was very attentive, thougful and helpful.. All this made a great expirience...

Phenomenal sled, ride, and food

The experience was phenomenal. I would recommend it to anyone. The tour guide Paul was very knowledgeable and very thoughtful on time and kept us entertained for the entire trip. Joe was our cook. The food was sensational. Jerry was our dog guide. He was very knowledgeable about the area and the dogs. I felt safe as we were on our sled ride.

Great Experience!

The tour, salmon dinner, and Elijah’s guiding were great. Elija told us stories based on local lore (including Big Foot, he neither accepts nor denies seeing it ;-) ) and his travels to Arctic circle and other places. He was our driver as well. Overall we had a great experience, it was a great tour. Thanks 1st Alaska Tours, Elijah, and Joe who prepared our dinner. I recommend this tour.
