The lady who taught us how to make Pasteis de Nata was very friendly, encouraging, and efficient. Her cooking class was well-planned. Her instructions were clear. Our family of three and another family of three were there. Each of us got to work on the pastry and custard alternatively. We had a wonderful time learning to make the classic Pasteis de Nata at Cooking Lisbon. Their recipe is very much like the "secret" recipe we tasted at Belem. Our instructor was fun and helpful. The pastries were delicious and we had more than enough to eat there and take back to the hotel with us. I am looking forward to making the recipe at home soon.

We have long loved pasteis de nata and were thrilled to have an opportunity to learn to make them. Filippa was a welcoming and personable teacher. She gave us very clear instructions and support. The end result was an overflowing plate of tasty treats. She sent home with us as many as we could take.

My wife and I had the pleasure of being part of a group from Cunard's new ship Queen Anne, that visited Cooking Lisbon last week to learn how to make Pasteis de Nata, Portuguese Cream Tarts. Felipe could not have been more generous with his time or thorough in showing us how this fantastic tart is made, using his Grandmother's recipe.
